Voltaren, a widely used nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), has been linked with heart attacks and strokes in people who take the pain reliever. This link is not a complete list of all the side effects that you may experience.
The most common side effects of Voltaren are headaches, stuffy or runny nose, back pain, muscle pain and flushing. Less common, though, are stomach upset, bloating, gas, indigestion, upset stomach, heartburn and upset throat. The most serious side effect is a rash that can affect the arms, neck, jaw and eyes. The risks of this side effect are higher if you use Voltaren at a high dose or if you take it in combination with aspirin, ibuprofen or naproxen.
The side effects of Voltaren include a headache, a cold, muscle pain, a rash or a skin rash. More serious, though less common, are an allergic reaction to the pain reliever. A serious allergic reaction can include: swelling of the lips, face, tongue or throat; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest, throat or throatingle or heaviness of the heart or stomach; shortness of breath; a fast or irregular heartbeat; hives; itching; swelling of the feet or lower legs; rash, itching, or rashes; severe sun sensitivity or skin rashes; difficulty in breathing; shortness of breath.
It’s important to note that the use of Voltaren may increase your risk of having a heart attack, stroke or blood clot. Before taking the drug, tell your doctor about all the medicines you take and about all the family medical history and illnesses.

The doses of medications that your doctor will prescribe for you depends on your condition and the dose prescribed by the doctor. The lowest effective dose is one tablet per day. Do not lie down for at least 10 minutes after taking this medication.

Keep Voltaren Rapid 12.5 tablets out of the reach of children. The tablets are available in packs of 4 and 8 tablets. Do not take in larger or smaller quantities or for longer than recommended.
